Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pocket Locker (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. What Pocket Locker is
Pocket Locker is a personal document organization app that lets you store documents, passwords, and related information locally on your device, with optional encrypted backup to your own Google Drive. It is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor or with their access, you are responsible for supervising that use.
3. Your account and content
The App does not require creating an account with us. Any "account" involved (such as signing in with Google for backup) is between you and that third party. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any information you store in the App, and for keeping your device, PIN, and biometric access secure.
4. Free plan and Premium subscription
- The App offers a Free plan with a limit on the number of documents you can store.
- A Premium subscription (billed yearly through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, as applicable) removes this limit and unlocks additional features. Pricing is shown in the App at the time of purchase and may change with notice.
- Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through the app store you downloaded Pocket Locker from. Cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes are subject to that store's policies — we do not directly process payments or issue refunds ourselves.
- We may offer promotional pricing, trials, or adjust plan features over time; where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
5. Your responsibility for your data
Because Pocket Locker stores your data locally on your device by design, you are responsible for your own backups. If you lose your device, it's damaged, reset, or the App is uninstalled without an active backup, your data may be permanently lost. We strongly encourage enabling Google Drive backup if this matters to you, but even then, you are responsible for maintaining access to the Google account used for backup.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to store or process unlawful content, to reverse-engineer or tamper with the App in ways that violate applicable law, or to attempt to disrupt the App's security features.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by its developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding beyond what's needed to use the App as intended.
8. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data loss will never occur.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, loss of access to stored documents, or any damages resulting from reliance on the App for critical record-keeping.
10. Changes to the App or these Terms
We may update the App's features or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a different governing law is required by the law of your country of residence.
